New Delhi: The top-seeded Vishnu Vardhan defeated Leon Frost of Australia 6-4, 6-4 in the pre-quarterfinals of the $15,000 ITF men’s Futures tennis tournament in Berri, Australia, on March 3.
In the quarterfinals, Vishnu Vardhan will be challenged by the sixth-seeded Brendan Moore of Australia.
In doubles, the top-seeded Divij Sharan and Vishnu Vardhan defeated the third-seeded Liang-Chi Huang of Chinese Taipei and Ouyang Bowen of China 6-1, 6-3 in the semifinals.
In the final, the Indian pair will face the second-seeded Chris Letcher and Bredan Moore of Australia, who beat Luke Saville and Jack Schipanski of Australia 6-2, 3-6, 10-5.
