A tragic road accident in New Jersey has claimed the life of a 42-year-old Indian-origin software engineer from Hyderabad, leaving her family and friends in deep shock. The victim, Sripathi Deepa, died after her vehicle was struck by another car while she was dropping her husband at a metro station.

According to reports, Deepa was driving her husband, Ramakrishna Reddy, to the station when another vehicle allegedly crashed into her car. Emergency responders rushed to the scene, but Deepa succumbed to her injuries. Authorities have reportedly taken the driver of the other vehicle into custody as they continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.

A video circulating on social media, purportedly recorded by a passing motorist, shows police officers responding to the accident. The footage captures two heavily damaged vehicles—a red car and a silver car—parked along the roadside. The silver vehicle, believed to be Deepa's, appears to have sustained extensive front-end damage, with its hood severely crumpled.

Originally from Aakuthotapalli village in Telangana's Rangareddy district, Deepa had been living in the United States with her husband since 2008. Both were employed as software professionals and had built a life in New Jersey while raising their two children. Their family residence in India is located in Teachers Colony, Hastinapuram, Hyderabad.

The tragedy has been particularly heartbreaking for the family as Deepa was expected to visit India within the next few days. Relatives said the trip had already been planned, making her sudden death even more difficult to come to terms with. Family members said Deepa's organs would be donated.
