NEW JERSEY: South Florida-based Indian-American technology leader, mentor and community advocate Priya Alavadi was crowned Mrs. Universe Elite Global 2026 on September 11 in New Jersey. Acclaimed Indian filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar presented the prestigious title.
The victory marks a remarkable full-circle moment for Alavadi, who previously won Mrs. Bharat USA Elite in 2022. During the four years between the two titles, she continued to advance her career in technology while raising her daughter and dedicating time to mentoring young adults and children.
Alavadi has also supported pageant initiatives, including work associated with Miss Florida, while contributing to various community programs. Her journey from titleholder to mentor and, ultimately, back to the competition reflects her belief in perseverance and lifelong ambition.
Sharing her message with women, Alavadi said, “Keep dreaming until your dreams come true — and even after they do, have another dream. Your dream doesn’t need a reason. It needs a chance.”
With her new international platform, Alavadi plans to expand her work through speaking, mentorship and community initiatives aimed at encouraging women to pursue dreams they may have placed on hold.
