PM Modi to launch 13 infra projects worth Rs 2,100 crore in Rajasthan

Jaipur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Jaipur in Rajasthan on Saturday, 7 July. Addressing a public meeting in Jaipur, the PM will highlight the various developmental schemes taken by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) governments in the Center as well as the state.
The PM will lay the foundation stone for 13 urban infrastructure projects with a total outlay of over Rs 2,100 crore. The projects focus on the infrastructural development of some prominent cities of the state including Udaipur, Ajmer, Jodhpur, Bikaner and Kota.
Prominent among the projects that will be launched are Integrated Infrastructure package for walled city of Udaipur, Water Supply and Sewerage projects in Ajmer, Bhilwara, Bikaner, Hanumangarh, Sikar and Mount Abu, and projects under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) in the districts of Bundi, Ajmer and Bikaner.
The PM will also wave the green flag for an elevated road project for Ajmer and the phase 2 construction of a Dussehra Maidan in Kota.
At the event, PM Modi will witness an audio-visual presentation of experiences shared by 12 beneficiaries of various Central and state government schemes. Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje will be moderating the presentation.
The twelve are beneficiaries of schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana, Skill India and Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram.
The state government schemes that will be highlighted at the event include Mukhyamantri Rajshri Yojana, Bhamashah Swasthya Bima Yojana, Mukhyamantri Jal Swavlamban Abhiyan, Shramik Kalyan Card, Mukhyamantri Palanhar Yojana, Chhatra Scooty Vitaran Yojana, and Din Dayal Upadhyay Varishth Nagrik Tirth Yatra Yojana.
Rajasthan is one of the key states that will go to polls later this year. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has an overwhelming majority in the 200-member Rajasthan assembly. Incumbent CM Raje, an MLA from Jhalrapatan, has been in power since 13 December 2013.
It is noteworthy that Rajasthan has alternated between the BJP and the Congress since 1990 with neither party getting a second term consecutively.
