Kidambi Srikanth jumps to fourth position in BWF Rankings after winning Denmark Open

Kidambi Srikanth on October 26 jumped four places in the Badminton World Federation Rankings to sit on the fourth position, thanks to his Denmark Open title-winning campaign that ended on October 22.
According to the latest BWF Rankings that were updated on October 26, Srikanth is now seeded fourth at 66923 points after Viktor Axelsen, Son Wah Ho and Lin Dan. He is now one spot away from career-best ranking of 3rd best in the world.
HS Prannoy, who was knocked out in the quarterfinal of Denmark Open, also jumped two spots to be placed in his career-best ranking at 12th position while Sameer Verma is ranked 18th. Ajay Jayaram, however, fell two places to sit on the 23rd position.
In the womenโ€™s singles ranking, PV Sindhu has kept her second position intact after top seeded Tai Tzu Ying despite exiting Denmark Open early last week. Saina Nehwal has jumped up a position to stand as the 11th best woman shuttler in the world.
Pranaav Jerry Chopra and Sikki Reddy, who were defeated in the first round of Denmark Open itself, climbed a spot to 16th in mixed doubles.
Srikanth and Sindhu crossed the first hurdle to progress to the second round of the $325,000 French Open Super Series on October 27.
