Mumbai: India’s Jasprit Bumrah has climbed to number two in the latest MRF Tyres ICC T20I Player Rankings for bowlers. Pakistan bowler Imad Wasim is the new number one bowler in the world, replacing South Africa’s Imran Tahir, who dropped two places to third position. The South African leg-spinner managed only one wicket in two matches against England as Proteas lost the series 2-1. In the other major movements in the bowlers’ table, South Africa’s Chris Morris has vaulted 32 places to 29th, while England’s Liam Plunkett has jumped 26 places to 38th. In the list for ICC T20I batting, India’s Virat Kohli continues to lead the table, Aaron Finch of Australia occupies second position, while New Zealand captain Kane Williamson retains third position in the current ranking. There is no change in the top three of the all-rounders’ table which is headed by Shakib Al Hasan of Bangladesh, followed by Glenn Maxwell of Australia and Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi. Meanwhile, in Team Rankings, New Zealand occupies the top spot, followed by England who recently defeated South Africa 2-1 in the three-match T20I series. Pakistan occupy third spot, while India currently occupy fourth position.
