Haryana to use feedback to prioritize civic projects

Gurugram: With a view to accelerate the pace of development work under the district plan in urban and rural areas of the state, the Haryana government has directed its civic agencies to seek feedback of people and public representatives for execution of the most necessary projects, based on priority.
Urban local bodies Minister Kavita Jain directed the officers of all municipal bodies in the state to seek feedback of residents, along with that of government officials, with regard to proposals for development projects, so that those projects which are considered most necessary can be executed first.
The MCG authorities said that they will ask the residents to send their feedback online.
“The state government wants us to engage active citizen participation as it will build a spirit of cooperation and trust between the civic agencies and the residents,” the MCG official said.
