London: Virat Kohli-led Team India will kick-off their 2018 cricket season with a complete tour of England, consisting of three T20s, three ODIs and five Tests. England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on September 5 announced the itinerary for their home season in 2018, which will start with full-fledged series against Pakistan and Australia, followed by the series against India. This series will act as a dress rehearsal for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, scheduled to be held here in England. The ECB Chief Executive Officer Tom Harrison spoke after releasing the schedule. “A five-Test series against India is at the heart of next summer’s international program," he said. “This is always a much-anticipated contest which attracts a huge following across the globe for the five-day game, " he added. “We are pleased to have a very loyal following for all three formats of the game and we expect to attract great crowds across the summer. "The universal on-sale date was a great success for the venues and fans last year and we will repeat that again this year. What also stays the same is that we would urge fans to apply early and plan for a big summer of cricket," he further commented. VIrat Kohli and co are currently in Sri Lanka, having completed a clean sweep both in Tests (3-0) and ODIs (5-0) against the island nation.
