Chocolate flag to mark I-Day in Peru

Lima: Peruvian patissiers on July 27 presented the biggest chocolate Peruvian flag ever made, on the eve of Fiestas Patrias, the national holiday that commemorates the country’s independence from Spain in 1821.

The chocolate flag weighed 50 kilos (110 pounds), was 2.5 meters (250 centimeters) long, and 1.50 meters (150 centimeters) wide.

It was displayed in the neighborhood of Surco, in the Peruvian capital Lima. Hundreds of people admired it, took pictures of it, and dreamed of taking a bite. Cacao and chocolate of Peruvian origin were the main ingredients used in the making of the flag.
