Mumbai: Recently, reports confirmed that Priyanka Chopra has been confirmed to star opposite Salman Khan in ‘Bharat’. After a lot of speculations about the leading lady in the movie which also cited that there will be a fresh face who will be cast opposite the superstar, PeeCee has finally given a nod to ‘Bharat’. The stars will be collaborating with each other after a decade and the fans can’t seem to contain their excitement about this reunion.
Earlier when Priyanka was asked about her Bollywood projects, she had revealed that she wanted to sign a film which would be perfect for her to come back with after a two-year long hiatus from Hindi cinema. So looks like she found ‘Bharat’ as the perfect script as her comeback vehicle. However, did you know that Priyanka was offered two movies opposite Salman Khan in the past, but she refused to be a part of them?
Well, as per reports, Priyanka was the first choice for ‘London Dreams’ and ‘Main Aur Mrs Khanna’ but, unfortunately, she never signed the dotted lines. In an earlier media interaction she had revealed that she was offered ‘London Dreams’, but then she doesn’t know what happened after that and the makers were only speaking to her secretary. Coming to ‘Main Aur Mrs Khanna’, it was PeeCee who rejected the offer and eventually Kareena was signed for the same.
Apart from Priyanka, it is also reported that Katrina too will be a part of this project. ‘Bharat’ is an official remake of the 2014 South Korean film ‘Ode to My Father’.
