Bengaluru: A Pink Hoysala team on May 28 nabbed three people for forcing a 23-year-old woman to dance semi-nude on the road, in order to solicit customers for prostitution. The trio was later arrested by Madiwala police.
The accused have been identified as Jalal Pasha (35), a resident of Chikka Adugodi, Rahul (26) of K.G. Nagar and Inayat (30) of Banashankari.
They made a woman, hailing from West Bengal, perform belly dance at Maruthi Nagar in Madiwala police station limits. Soon a crowd gathered and they began exhorting people to ‘pay and enjoy’. According to police they were offering the woman on an hourly basis.
Some local residents alerted the police control room. Soon a Pink Hoysala team nabbed the accused.
The rescued girl later told interrogators that she was forced into flesh trade by the trio and made to dance semi-nude to attract people.
According to police, Jalal Pasha was previously arrested by Tilak Nagar police for similar offence and later built his own gang to run sex racket in the city.
