Bend it like Khushi: 13-year-old sets new world record in yoga

Mysuru: A 13-year-old girl has set a new world record after performing toughest yogasanas 15 times in a minute.
Khushi, daughter of RBI officer Hemachandra, performed Niraalamba Poorna Chakrasana at Community hall of Mysuru’s RBI Nagar in presence of Golden Book Of records representative.
“I want to be a yoga teacher and want to do more records. At the same time, want to be IAS officer in future,” Khushi told Vijay Karnataka.
“Khushi had some breathing issues but when she joined yoga classes, breathing issue was resolved. And now she is a world-record holder,” Hemachandra said.
He also said that during practice session, Khushi was only able to do this asana 13 times but during main even she did it 15 times.
On Sunday, Golden Book Of records representative Santosh Agarwal handed over the certificate to Khushi.
According to her father, Khushi started doing Yoga less than three years ago and had received many national and international medals.
In 2014, Khushi won silver in international Yoga competition for below 17 years’ category in China. In 2016, she won two golds (solo artistic and rhythmic pair), two silvers in 4 events in Vietnam.
