Beautification move through graffiti on social message reaches small town

Barnala: After traversing the boundaries of big cities, the move to beautify the various places with strong messages have reached the small towns. The district administration of Barnala on May 31 started the beautification drive with graffiti. The message of turning the place into green by planting more saplings, saving and educating girl child (beti bachao beti padao) was put on walls across the town.
Barnala Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori , who led the move, said that “In starting the move, there is dual purpose as we are trying to give strong message about saving the daughters and the environment from getting polluted by planting saplings through graffiti which also increase the beautification of the roads and looks pleasing to passers-by”.
