It was a very good day for India at Asian Games 2018 as there were gold medals in Tennis and Rowing. Rohan Bopanna and partner Divij Sharan beat Aleksander Bublik and Denis Yevseyev of Kazakhstan 6-3, 6-4 to win their first gold. There was gold in rowing to take India’s tally to six. Squash provided further good news as three more medals were assured after Joshna Chinappa, Dipika Pallikal and Saurav Ghosal won their respective quarter-finals. Heena Sidhu won bronze in 10m pistol but it wasn’t good news for Manu Bhaker was eliminated. Kabaddi was another big disappointment as women’s team settled for silver, while men settled for bronze.
