Art of Living to host yoga day celebration in 150 countries

Bengaluru: 150 countries are all set to join the Art of Living’s International Day of Yoga celebrations. Under this, more than 50 million Yoga enthusiasts from all over the world are expected to gather in front of a popular landmark in their cities and salute the rising sun with sun salutations as a part of ‘Sun never sets on Yoga’ movement.
Not just that, inmates from 21 prisons across the country would be gathering together to do some yoga for this year’s Yoga Day celebrations. Over 25,000 trained Yoga teachers from the organization will lead the Government of India’s Common Yoga Protocol for millions across the globe.
“Yoga is Science. It unites the mind, body, spirit and the universe. Yoga can totally transform one’s behavior, thinking and attitudes in ways unimaginable and catalyze the full blossoming of human potential, said Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, founder of the Art of Living in a statement on June 19.
