Mumbai: Though Jolly LLB 2 was a smashing success and entered the 100 crore club, Akshay Kumar is already up in arms to take on his next film on India’s first Olympic medal after Independence. Titled Gold, the film has Akki playing Balbir Singh, who was the coach of the three-time Olympic medal-winning Indian hockey team.
To make sure that he is convincing in his role, the actor has started training in hockey as part of his preparation.
A close source tells us, “For the role of a hockey coach in the film, Akshay Kumar has been practising the game in the grounds of a school situated in the suburbs of Mumbai city. Actor Sunny Kaushal, who will be playing the second lead in the sports film, has also been going with him for training.”
Akshay will also be seen in a whole new traditional avatar, wearing dhoti-kurta throughout the film. Hats off to the actor for keeping the authenticity.
