Virender Sehwag to replace Anil Kumble as India coach?

New Delhi: It will be a battle of two former teammates, Virender Sehwag and Anil Kumble, for a much-valued job of India’s head coach, if the sources at the BCCI are to be believed.
Since Kumble’s replacement looks imminent, sources say Sehwag is the front-runner for the job.
A BCCI source said the name of former India opener Sehwag was a surprise among applicants like Tom Moody, Lalchand Rajput, Doda Ganesh, Richard Pybus and Kumble.
Kumble was named as India coach in June last year and since then the team has witnessed as many as five series wins.
However, a rant has recently been reported inside the dressing room. Virat Kohli and his boys seem to be unhappy with the way Kumble deal with the national cricketers.
Also, Sehwag has to his credit some of the most astonishing batting records, no less worthy than what Kumble did achieve with the ball, sporting India colours. Besides that, he has coached the Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League that might help him bag the prestigious job.
