A cup which doubles as a kettle and features a heating element to boil water in just 90 seconds has been revealed by designers.
Kug is the brainchild of Ben Millett and Alan Harrison who came up with it for a design project at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin.
The pair had been tasked with creating a product to help people with rheumatoid arthritis struggle with household appliances when they created the Kug.
It was noticed sufferers struggled to pour a cup of tea and the designers wanted to ease the process of making a hot drink.
As students it is a fair bet that the idea of a easier cuppa must have appealed to them too… especially as with a Kug you can’t get roped into make one for someone else.
