Rajinikanth will enter politics, says Hindu Makkal Katchi leader who met superstar

Chennai: Rajinikanth will enter politics and free Tamil Nadu from the clutches of Dravidian rule, said Hindu Makkal Katchi founder and its state president Arjun Sampath after meeting the superstar at his Poes Garden residence on Monday morning.
In an hour-long interaction, Sampath urged the actor to enter politics soon.
Sampath said, “Tamil Nadu has been suffering under the Dravidian rule for the last 50 years. I told Rajinikanth that his service was much required for the people of Tamil Nadu, given the prevailing political situation in the state.”
Sampath said, “Rajinikanth said the system is corrupt. We know only he can fix it and bring about an alternative politics. When we asked Rajinikanth to enter politics, he said he is in preparation for the same. He said that he would feel guilty if he ends up not doing anything. He told me that he wants to realize his pet project of interlinking Himalayan and peninsular rivers into one national grid. And that it was possible only if he enters politics.”
Hindu Makkal Katchi general secretary Rama Ravikumar and youth wing general secretary D. Gurumurthy also met the actor.
