Prez Obama to remove barriers for US businesses

Washington, DC: US President Barack Obama on July 7 said his administration is upping effort to remove trade barriers and create new market for American businesses, especially their presence in “some of the most dynamic markets in Asia”.

“We’re upping our efforts to remove barriers to trade and open new markets and new opportunities for American business,” Obama said in his address to the US corporate leadership, when he also announced the President’s Export Council.

“On a global level, this begins with pushing hard in the Doha Round to improve those negotiations so that they have a higher level of ambition in the way that will translate directly into more opportunities for American exporters,” he said.
