Most expensive Christmas tree

Festivals are coming! Shop for gifts, get new clothes, find a turkey, bake some cakes and get a Christmas tree; a 1.6 million US dollar tree. Yup, no kidding; recently, the most expensive Christmas tree is on display in Japan. Cost about 150 million Yen, this 24k golden tree is displayed in Ginza Tanaka jewellery shop in Shinsaibashi, Osaka.
Knowing the fact that it is an economy slowdown all around the world, including Japan, the store staff said that this tree would at least make the people, who visited their store feel the gorgeous Christmas atmosphere. Adorned with more than 240 jewels, including diamond baubles and strings of genuine pearls, I am sure this 24kg tree is going to make anyone who visited the store feel “gorgeous” and “luxurious;” at least in that few minutes they are in the store.
Two years ago in 2006, similarly, Soo Kee Jewellery, a famous Singapore Jeweler has produced the world’s most expensive Christmas tree (at that time) made out of 21,798 glittering diamonds totaling 913 carats, 3,762 crystal beads and with 456 lights to decorate and make it all bling-bling.
Weight almost 3,215kg and really tall, at 6 feet in height, it worth $1,005,000; about $600,000 less than Tanaka’s 24kg Christmas tree. Indeed, Tanaka’s tree is so far officially the world’s most expensive Christmas tree.
