Legendary singer Asha Bhosle’s wax statue to be featured at Madame Tussauds museum, Delhi

The Madame Tussauds wax museum is to be opened in Delhi this year and along with other celebrities, it will feature India’s singing sensation Asha Bhosle as their prime attraction. The figure will be displayed in the Bollywood music zone alongside other leading singers, where fans will be able to sing and perform with their favorite stars.
A team from Madam Tussauds came down to Mumbai specially to take her measurements where over 150 specific measurements and images were taken.
On learning about her wax statue, the legendary singer exclaimed, “I am thrilled and humbled. Thank you to Madame Tussauds and my fans for considering me for this incredible honor. Having a wax figure is a completely ecstatic feeling and it’s a new experience for me. This is the first time I have undergone a sitting and I must thank them for making it a unique and exciting experience. I am excited to see and meet my final figure when the attraction opens. Madame Tussauds is a one-of-a-kind attraction and is a rage across the world, and I am looking forward to the launch and opening in Delhi.”
The iconic artist has sung for over a thousand Bollywood movies in various genres, in more than 20 Indian and foreign languages, which include other solo albums too. She has also secured her place in the Guinness Book of World Records, as the most recorded artist in history. Also, she was honored with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2000 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2008.

There will be over 50 wax statues of famous personalities from sports, cinema, politics, history and music.
