Justin Bieber enthrals India with a splendid 120-minute-long performance

Mumbai: Justin Bieber landed in Mumbai on May 10 to perform for the first time in India. Scores of his young fans camped for three days to catch a glimpse of their favourite pop icon and Bieber was escorted by Salman Khan’s personal bodyguard Shera. Amid stringent safety regulations put in place by Navi Mumbai Police, the singer proceeded to meet underprivileged children later in the day and handed out 100 passes of his concert. Justin dropped by at a local mall for his favorite coffee and waved to his fans on the way.
Fans started thronging the gates of D.Y. Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai as soon as they were thrown open to the spectators. Indian artist DJ Sartek kicked things off by spinning some EDM tunes. His act was followed by DJ Zaeden, another Indian artist who took the stage and belted out hits like ‘I Took a Pill in Ibiza’.
The concert was emceed by Elarica Johnson, an English model and actress. The third opening act was DJ Alan Walker performing his greatest hits like ‘Sing Me To Sleep’, ‘Alone’ and ‘Faded’. The crowd could barely hold their excitement as Justin Bieber made his way on-stage for the headlining act. Justin took to the stage in a white t-shirt and training shorts. He addressed the crowd as he started performing: “Hello India!”
The Canadian singer sang ‘Where Are U Now’ and sang through for the next 120 minutes by going through a wide range of his songs like ‘Boyfriend’, ‘Love Yourself’, ‘Company’, ‘As Long As You Love Me’, ‘What Do You Mean’, ‘Baby’, ‘Purpose’ and Sorry’. Justin performed a drum solo and pulled out his acoustic guitar while singing ‘Cold Water’. Biebs ended up singing over 20 songs as he danced on stage, interacted with the crowd and ended the set on a high note.
