Cuttack: Pune Warriors India captain Sourav Ganguly has been fined after the team maintained a slow over-rate in their match against Deccan Chargers in Cuttack on May 1.
According to a media release issued by the IPL, Warriors were found to be one and half overs behind the required rate after allowances were taken into consideration.
“Since it was his first offence of the season under the IPLs Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences, Ganguly was fined $20,000,” the IPL media release stated.
Warriors lost the match against Deccan by 13 runs.
