Himmat Rai tied 37th after first round of Cambodian Open

Siem Reap (Cambodia): Himmat Rai returned an eventful one-under 71 for a share of the 37th spot but a poor back-nine put Anirban Lahiri’s chances of making the cut in danger after the opening round of the Jhonnie Walker Cambodian Open golf tournament on December 9.

Rai and Lahiri, who was tied 68th after carding a one-over 73, are the only Indians in fray at the $300,000 event at the Phokeethra Country Club. In an eventful round, Rai stumbled to a couple of bogeys against a birdie in his front-nine.
