Boogie Woogie Chicago finals on October 10

Rolling Meadows, IL: The Chicago finals of Sony Entertainment Television very popular Boogie Woogie contest will be held at the Meadows Club on Friday, October 10, at 7.30pm.
The contest will be organized here by Dhrishti Media whose founder Shebani Kulkarni will be the host. The contest will be open for children in the age groups of 6 years to 13 years in the junior age group and 14 years to 21 years in the senior age group.
Chicago winners in the past have done very well in the US finals in the last few years and last year Komal Sharma, the winner from Chicago, had gone on to win the national contest in New Jersey.
“The talent pool in Chicago is indeed very good and this year too we will see some very keen and sprightly contestants” says Shebani Kulkarni. “We are also in the process of negotiating to bring the US Finals to Chicago this year in November here to the Meadows Club,” she said.
Over the years, Boogie Woogie has succeeded in unearthing some fabulous dancing talent both in India and abroad and the popular trio of Naved Javed and Ravi have made this popular Television show a household name.
An esteemed panel of judges has been formed to judge this event and if the US finals indeed come to Chicago then Chicagoans have the opportunity of seeing some of the most talented second generation dancers from North America right here.
