AGP promises corruption-free govt.

Guwahati: Opposition Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) on March 21 released its manifesto for the April assembly polls in Assam promising a development-oriented and corruption-free government.

Releasing the manifesto here, AGP chief Chandra Mohan Patowary said the party was committed to remove corruption from all levels if voted to power.

“We are committed to fulfilling the aspirations of the people… the ruling Congress Party has betrayed the state on the diktats of New Delhi-based politicians, who have little knowledge about the state,” he said.

“If voted to power, the AGP will take steps to correct the law and order situation and bring back development”, he said.
