India Tribune, as an English weekly newspaper, was launched in 1977 in Chicago by its publisher Prashant Shah with a lofty ideal to serve the Asian Indian community in the USA. Over the years, it has grown with all vigor, and now it is being published in three editions – Chicago, New York and Atlanta. India Tribune, a journal of its kind for the family in the USA, has been a household name for many Indians for over three decades with each issue commanding a readership of over 125,000.
Besides print edition, India Tribune has a Digital Edition for every issue which has more pages with many interesting articles. Each issue of the Digital Edition e-mail to over 60,000 readers.

Owing to sluggish economy and overall slim-down of the newspaper industry, from May 2012, India Tribune has changed its frequency from Weekly to Bi-weekly, The bi-weekly India Tribune has more pages and more information printed on a better quality paper. This change has helped us to restructure our financial position and stay in the publication business. Once the economy stimulate, India Tribune will go back to its Weekly frequency again.
Prashant Shah – Publisher
Prashant, a chemist by education, came to the USA in 1971 to study chemical engineering at Indiana Institute of Technology, Fort Wayne, Indiana. He later moved to Chicago, where he saw the need for a quality newspaper for the Chicago Indian community. This idea had motivated him to start India Tribune in 1977. As the publisher, Prashant takes care of marketing and all financial matters.
